Maintain your health and diet thru Alkaline Water.

We heard and read many things regarding the impact of an acidic body ph to healths and its connection with various diseases.

The body naturally creates acids as part of the digestive system or as a by-product of various metabolic processes. However, one’s body may experience over acidity due to factors like a diet rich in processed foods, stress, and other lifestyle factors. Chronic over acidity affects all the body’s cellular functions and is seen to contribute to cancer, heart disease, obesity, weight problems, allergies, fatigue and premature aging as well as problems with our nervous system, cardiovascular system and muscles.

To counteract the negative effects of over acidity, it is recommended that people adopt an alkaline diet and drink alkaline water. Alkaline foods are foods that create an alkaline effect in the body regardless of their actual ph levels. This means that even food like lemons and limes actually have an alkaline effect on the body. Additionally the alkaline diet involves limited consumption of meats, dairy products, white flour and white sugar which are very acidic. Instead, one should eat large quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, and soy products.

Apart from eating alkaline foods, drinking alkaline water can also play a major role in balancing one’s body ph. However, most conventional alkaline water is produced using electrolysis and ionizer based technology which involves passing electric current through water laced with chemical catalyst submerged with titanium or platinum plates. This process can create trace amounts of chemicals from the breakdown of the catalyst as well as trace amounts of metals from the plates.

At the same time, alkaline water produced using this artificial method has very short shelf lives. This is because the artificially induced alkaline effect wears off in a matter of days. At the same time, the alkaline water produced using electrolysis is also very sensitive to temperature fluctuations which makes storage difficult.

An alternative to this process is naturally infusing alkalinity into the water to mimic the same properties found in spring or pristine river water. Thanks to advances technology it is now possible to replicate this using nano-technology to infuse nano minerals into regular water to turn it alkaline. And it is this latest technological advance that is being used in Livingstream Nano Alkaline Water.

Livingstream is the latest concept by GQWEST Inc. the company behind the Aquabest water franchise. By looking back to nature and harnessing the latest in technology, the company envisions the concept as the future in drinking water. Utilizing cutting edge South Korean nanotechnology, Livingstream aims to provide everyone with safe, healthy, and life-changing water.

To produce alkaline water the natural way, Livingstream utilizes filters that contain alkaline nano minerals derived from seashells. When water passes through these filters these nano minerals are infused into the water. Since the nano minerals are derived from biological sources and are integrated into the water there is no risk of any contaminants and the ph level remains constant over long periods of time and regardless of temperature.

To ensure that the water is safe to drink, Livingstream also utilize nano silver to eliminate bacterial and viral contaminants in water. Silver has been used for centuries as an anti-bacterial and antiviral due to its ability to disrupt the cellular process of the contaminants thus killing them.

To introduce the concept to the public the company intends to unveil Livingstream for franchising at the 15th Franchise & Business Expo on October 14-16 at World Trade Center, Pasay City. To learn more about Livingstream Nano-Alkaline Water visit (PR)

The Egg Theater closes 2016 season with Moliere PMS.

The Egg Theater Co along with the PARC Foundation and Pineapple Lab presents Moliere PMS, a fusion of three Moliere play adaptations: Praning (The Imaginary Invalid), Maniacal (The Learned Ladies), and Schism (The Misanthrope) on October 1 & 2 at PARC Foundation, 494 Lt. Artiaga St., San Juan City and at Pineapple Lab, 6071 Palma Street, Rockwell on October 7-9 and October 14-16.

Transporting Moliere’s French Society to an imagined theater world that serves as a microcosm of Philippine society, the fusion of the three plays is a satirical comedy that pokes a searing look at the foibles and travails of theater artists divided and polarized by the ills of hypocrisy and pretentiousness.

Adapted and directed by Palanca award-winning playwright, George de Jesus III, the three plays have all been separately staged before: Praning in 2012 as a thesis production of Technical Theater and Production Design Program of the School for Design and Arts of the DLSU College of Saint Benilde, Maniacal and Schism by the Egg Theater Co as part of the Fringe Manila Festival in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Moliere PMS centers on Alex, a playwright whose anger at the pretentiousness of the people around him, compels him to consider quitting theater. Helen, an actress and Alex’s best friend, tries to dissuade him by making him remember why he fell in love with theater in the first place. As they argue and discuss while waiting for a show (an adaptation of Moliere’s The Misanthrope directed by upcoming director, Don) they are watching a second time to begin, Alex’s thoughts manifest on stage as a reenactment of his own adaptations of Moliere’s The Learned Ladies (Maniacal) and The Imaginary Invalid (Praning).

Don entreats Alex to give notes about his adaptation. Refusing to be polite, Alex tells his honest opinion. As a reaction to Alex mercilessly lambasting Don’s artistry, Don makes a vilifying post about Alex on Facebook. Hilarity ensues as the manifestation of Alex’s exasperation on stage gets tangled as the actors, characters, and plots mix and merge. The jumble results in a hysterically intricate foray into the mind of someone peeling away the mask of hypocrisy and coming to terms with what one values and loves. Thus, Moliere PMS desires to give emphasis to an aspect of Moliere’s work that is greatly admired: “his intellectual penetration in distinguishing the parts of a man from the whole man. Montaigne, the 16th-century essayist who deeply influenced Molière, divided qualities that are acquired, such as learning or politeness or skills, from those that are natural, such as humanity or animality, what might be called “human nature” without other attributes. Molière delighted in opposing his characters in this way; often in his plays a social veneer peels off, revealing a real man.” (Will G. Moore, Encyclopedia Britannica)
Moliere PMS features the following new and veteran theater actors:  Tuxqs Rutaquio and Renante Bustamante alternate in the role of Alex. Angeli Bayani and Mayen Estanero take turns in playing the roles of Helen, Belinda and Philippa. Via Antonio and Meann Espinosa alternate as Casey, Mandy and Direk Ugo. Paolo O’Hara and Joel Saracho play Chris. Mara Paulina Marasigan and Martha Comia alternate as Rita and Angelique with Mara also alternating with Ross Pesigan as Aries and Toni. Migs Almendras will play Jim and Tom Toledo. Sky Abundo will play Clint and Andre. Sari Estrada plays Drea and Elise. And RS Francisco plays Tristan. Lights design by Joseph Mattheu, stage and production management by John Mark Yap and Arma Bonilla.

Gabby Alipe now a solo artist.

Former lead band vocalist of Urbandub Gabby Alipe releases his debut single as a solo artist “VISIONS” last September 23, 2016. It is the first track to be released from his upcoming first solo EP entitled “A New Strain” coming out this October.

“Visions” is all about having a positive mindset in life.

“That no matter what struggles you may face, as long as you have a clear vision of your goals that a person has to work hard in achieving that goal, no matter the hindrance or road blocks. That a person has potential and can achieve anything in life as long as they believe in themselves and not let fear have control over them. That everything will fall into place, all in good time.” Alipe said.

After Urbandub decided to go their separate ways in 2015, MCA Music signed Alipe as a solo artist.

Gabby Alipe also shared how he started singing from being part of a band and now as a solo artist.

“Never really was a singer. Never thought I’d end up being a front man for a band. I always saw myself as a songwriter and guitar player. My journey as a musician started in high school. I joined different bands as a guitar player. While in college, I was a working student, and began playing in bands in the local Cebu music scene, as a bass player. when my former band didn’t want to write original material, I decided to form Urbandub ith my friend Jed Honrado, which led me to sing, only because nobody knew who we were or was interested joining our group as our vocalist. I became a singer by accident. 16 years later, after Urbandub’s run, I’m embarking on a new challenge as a solo artist.” Alipe said.

The Theater House of Black, present "The Fall of Usher".

The Theater House of Black, that staged recently the Filipino adaptation of Federico Garcia Lorca's "The House of Bernarda Alba, " are now back with another house that is full of mystery.

This time it's  "#14 Leandro Road," a Filipino theatrical adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's most celebrated short story, "The Fall of the House of Usher," first published in 1839.

Devised by Jay Crisostomo IV and C.K. Bautista, "#14 Leandro Road," which is set on the dark chilly outskirts of Baguio City, is scheduled for six performances at Power Mac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati on October 7 and 8, 2016.

"As a group, we wanted to stage stories that talk about families and stories that have been forgotten or are deemed underrated by the world," said Harry David, producer-production manager. "At the same time adapt them in Filipino and apply a Philippine twist to the stories so they would be more relevant and relatable to our audience."

"Poe's short story is about a family whose members long to come out from their gilded cage. They struggle to find happiness in dreams and achieve them but shown in a very macabre and creepy way. With that, not a lot of theater houses venture into the horror, suspense, and thriller genre. So, again as a group, we wanted to produce more plays that are categorized in this canon," he added.

"#14 Leandro Road" is a horror story, which blurs the line between the real world and the supernatural. It follows Ed/Edna Ramos, a real estate agent, who is invited by Rudy/Pilar Laperal, a grade school friend she hasn't seen for almost 20 years, to come and visit the latter's house. As soon as Ed/Edna arrives, he/she finds out that Rudy/Pilar lives with two other people: his/her ill brother/sister and the family doctor, Dra. Lita Dumas. As the days go by, the house guest finds out that both siblings are suffering from a mental illness. At the same time, both are keeping a secret that has been buried all these years.

Directed by Jay Crisostomo IV, "#14 Leandro Road" stars Harry David/Gold Villar (Ed/Edna), Migui Moreno/Mosang (Rudy/Pilar), Gry Gimena/Skyzx Labastilla (Anton/Anna), Patricia Ismael (Dra. Lita Dumas), Peewee O'Hara (Donya Victorina), and May Bayot (Consuelo).

"The audience can expect to be entertained through spooky thrills; a few scares here and there, and leave the theatre asking questions about the points that were brought up in the play," David said.

Pinocchio is a of a puppet boy who dreamed to become a real boy. The story begun, one fine day, that a piece of wood found itself in the shop of an old carpenter named Master Cherry to make the leg of a table. As he was about to give the first blow of his hatchet, he heard a wee, little voice coming from the wood. His face had changed and fright had turned him to death. To appease his terror, he gave the piece of wood to his friend Geppetto who took it to make himself a marionette, a puppet that will dance, fence and turn somersaults. He called it Pinocchio, the first pranks of the marionette, the name that will make his fortune. The adventure of Pinocchio started right after he was fashioned by his father Geppetto. He went out of his way to explore the world of wonders and never returned home. He met the Talking Cricket, the Puppets in the Marionette Theater, The Fox and the Cat who robbed his five gold pieces given by the Fire Eater and the Blue Fairy named Fairy Azure who promised him to become a real boy. To grant his wish, he must obey and be honest to all his undertakings. He had a nose that grew long when he tells a lie. As he wandered around the village, a Pigeon informed him that his father Geppetto was swallowed by a Terrible Whale while riding in a small boat to look for him. And that started his venture to find his father in the vast sea until he was also gulped down by the same whale. Inside the whale’s stomach, Pinocchio and the weak Geppetto were reunited. They made their way to get out of the whale’s body through the courage of the wooden boy. Both were tossed high and low by the big waves until they landed on the shore. To revive his father’s strength, Pinocchio offered good deeds to the villagers to gain food to nourish, water to quench and pennies to buy clothes. The Blue Fairy was so happy of what Pinocchio has done, she granted precious reward to his good deeds. She made her magic worked and on the next day, Pinocchio woke up as real boy. And they both lived happily ever after together with all the people and animals in their village.
Come, Watch and Discover how the Adventures of Pinocchio touch everyone’s lives in his heartwarming promise not to tell a lie to get rid of his nose that elongates when he tells one, to become obedient to elders and his unconditional love to his father. Two Decades of Northpine Land, a cheers for making dreams come to life.

For over 20 years now, NorthPine Land, Inc. (NLI) has been a dynamic player in the real estate industry. The company is definitely a game-changer as it continues to change the landscape of several locations in Luzon through the lifestyle communities it builds.

As it marks two outstanding and prosperous decades in the service of many families by making their dreams come to life and redefining the way people live, the company continues to become one of the trusted developers in the country.

From dreams to reality
It was in 1996 when Hongkong Land, Jardine Davies, Metrobank, Equitable Bank and San Miguel Properties, joined together in forming what would be a thriving company 20 years later. Jardine Land, the name of NLI during this time, focused on the development of land banking and horizontal properties for the mid-income market in the Philippines.

The name NorthPine Land was formed in 2006, the year after Hongkong Land acquired the Jardine Davies share. Presently, it owns 40% of the company while BDO, Metrobank and San Miguel each owns 20%. Backed up by distinguished conglomerates in the country and one recognized internationally, NLI persisted to take on bigger ventures as it fiercely kept up and contributed to the real estate trends.

NLI continuously challenges itself for more innovations not only in developing horizontal communities, but in the way it serves its patrons as well. House viewing and after-sales transactions are made more convenient through the company’s websites and comfortable sales offices.

Incidentally, NLI is also one of the first few real estate companies in the Philippines that launched a mobile app, available for both iOS and Android devices. The NorthPine Land Mobile App gives clients and sellers easy and quick access to NLI projects and updates.

Beyond owning a property
As shared by the leaders of the company, the value of turning dreams into a reality lies in creating a sense of community and better lifestyle than simply building roofs over people’s heads.

NLI President Alan Cruz said, "We believe families deserve more than a place to settle down. People need communities that redefine the way of living. NorthPine Land is a company that does further than answering demands for houses. It is determined to understand what the market really needs especially in the fast-changing world."

Furthermore, Cruz explained that design, quality construction, lifestyle amenities, continuing estate management and value are the foundations in developing all NorthPine projects. Such are the ideals of fine living that distinguish them from the rest. These are reflected in its prestigious portfolio of projects namely, Montana Views (Pampanga), Greenwoods, Wind Crest, Kahaya Place, Kohana Grove (Cavite), Forest Ridge (Antipolo), South Hampton (Laguna) and Lexington (Pasig).

Master-planned to achieve a place where dreams come to life, the design and architectural themes of these properties vary from Mediterranean, Modern & Tropicalized American, Modern Asian to Victorian. First-rate and stylish amenities maintained in all its property developments mirror the company’s aspirations to improve the lifestyle of its residents. These are in addition to the high-quality houses and community features that NLI builds.

NorthPine projects are favorite settings for TV commercials (see Mc. Donald’s Mr. Wilson TVC, Nesfruta Kramer family TVC, Jollibee JaDine TVC, Nido 2015 Mother’s Day special TVC, etc.).  According to TVC production groups, NLI communities perfectly capture the characteristics of an ideal home.

Making more dreams come to life
To further the efforts in achieving even bigger milestones, NLI is keen in exploring fresh angles and avenues possible. As it makes dreams come to life through its philosophy of constantly expanding and innovating, NLI keeps its portfolio of projects growing. Moreover, part of the process is to increase its manpower and open more career opportunities.

Simultaneous with turning 20 this year, NLI also kicked off a new chapter in its business venture. The company is exploring new territories after years of dedicated efforts to change the landscape of South Luzon and Eastern Manila areas. This time, NLI sets its footprint in the Northern regions.

Earlier in July, NLI launched Montana Views, a promising property in the City of San Fernando and Mexico, Pampanga. This is NLI’s maiden project in Central Luzon and North of Manila. Making its movement greatly felt in the area, the company also activated several campaigns and actions to introduce the project to Kapampangans and people around the region.

In the field of real estate, players must be in the cutting-edge to remain in the race. For NorthPine Land, the key is to stay true to its promise and constantly strive to offer more in response to the changing needs of people. As it advances in its mission, NLI endeavours to make more dreams come to life for another 20 years and more.

Leading this year’s celebration in the country is Alopecia Philippines, a group founded by singer and songwriter Abby Asistio in 2012. She has been championing the cause of empowering citizens with this condition.

Of course, guys also need to pamper themselves once a while, like having a good hand and foot spa, even though it is not that common for guys visiting Nail Salon, but still men also deserve this kind of treatment.

After highly recommendation from a Blogger friend, I’ve decided to try Marine Algae Whitening Foot Spa at Nailaholics Salon in Market-Market Mall in Taguig City. I always have the feeling of awkwardness and intimidation in entering salon, it’s because most of the time it is populated by women from the staff down to the regular customers.

So I choose Monday and I know it is not that crowded, and true enough I was lucky to have my Royal treatment like a king, the Market Mall branch is so nice to welcome me and give me a good gestures not to be intimidated, only to enjoy their services.

So the usual routine for cleansing off my hand and feet started, from lukewarm water with solid rocks on it, it feels soothing believe me, and then the drying came in where the usual pedicure and manicure is happening. The lady who assist me is very knowledgeable in describing to me the process and its effects, I am convince most of their staff are well train enough and gentle to handle our tired reasons that’s why we are there.
Marine Algae Whitening foot treatment.
Marine Algae Whitening Foot Spa is basically a bleaching process, I choose this since I am exposed to beach outing in the past months and badly needed to regain my tone back.  The whitening thing is not that so menthol feeling like I know in some spa, it is moisturizing and true to its description, it is relaxing.

After barely an hour, all my stress are gone, the quick massage my foot feels like my soul was rejuvenate. For more details about its services and branches of Nailaholics, pls check them in Facebook or thru their official site at
